Neon and Leather

My Outfit:
Top: Marshalls
Scarf: Target
Leather Jacket: H&M
Purse: Francesca's Collection
Denim: Lucky Brand
Boots: DSW

Isn't it perfect when you see an item in a store and instantly a bunch of prefect outfit possibilities come together in your head? Well, that is exactly what happened when I spotted this adorable scarf at Target a bit ago. A while back, I purchased my neon green bag because it's great for contrasting and adding an extra pop to a lot of my outfits. The only thing I didn't have was something that matched with it, which was why I was super excited to find a scarf with hints of that same neon green. yay!

Leopard and Bordeaux

My Outfit:
Leopard Blouse: Marshalls
Bordeaux Cardigan: TJ Maxx
Scarf: Borrowed from my sister
Denim: Lucky Brand Outlet
Boots: Pink & Pepper

First of all, thank you guys so much for being patient during the Holiday's; it was a really nice break to spend time with my friends and family. But, I'm back now and super excited about it! I wore this outfit for a day of shopping and embarrassing myself practicing golf at the driving range. I loved the casual look and feel of this outfit and paired with a bun and skinny jeans it felt perfectly undone (one of my favorite looks).

Cranberry Citrus Garland

You'll Need:
One or two bags of cranberries
Any type of citrus you want (I used 2 limes, 2 lemon, 2 oranges)
A needle and thread

Peel your citrus and cut them into fun shapes

String them onto the thread and let your little sister photo bomb ;)

We originally wanted to keep them pretty spread out on the string, but later decided that they look way prettier when they're closely strung.

Wrap them around your crazy tree

Making garland out of popcorn and cranberries is one of my favorite childhood Christmas memories so I definitely wanted to keep the tradition going.  This year, I've been focusing a lot on all the amazing scents that come with Christmas. From tying cinnamon sticks around my candles to putting pieces of my Christmas tree stump in the oven (seriously) I have been trying to fully embrace all of the amazing smells. So when it came down to garland making time, I decided why not try something that smells as good as it looks? I skipped over the popcorn for some of the prettiest and best smelling fruits I could muster up and used them for my favorite garland of all time. My whole house smells amazing now, and it was super fun to make!

Merry Christmas!

Cozy Knits

My Outfit:
Beige top: Buckle
Cynthia Rowley Sweater: TJ Maxx
Denim: Lucky Brand
Boots: Pink & Pepper
Earrings: Francesca's Collections

With finals to study for, major school projects to complete, Christmas presents to buy, and a whole pile of things I have to do piling up I've become a giant stress ball lately. I went out with Evan and my family to buy our Christmas Trees on Sunday, and I chose this outfit because Christmas Tree shopping is one of my absolute favorite parts of Christmas and I wanted to enjoy it (stress-free). One of the best ways I know how to wind down is to dress comfortably; to me, this doesn't have to mean ugly sweatshirts and yoga pants (okay, sometimes it does). Mostly though, for me a comfy outfit can just be a great-fitting pair of jeans and an amazing sweater. It totally worked, I had the best time buying our trees and I plan on having even more fun decorating them tonight with my famous homemade peppermint mocha's!

Brown Booties

My Outfit:
Top: Francesca's Collections (here)
Floral Pants: Francesca's Collections (another cute pair)
Booties: Pink & Pepper (here)
Watch: Fossil (I also love this one)
Earrings: Francesca's Collections (similar style)
Scarf: Windsor (Similar)

I was looking through some pictures of me from over the years, and I loved noticing how my style evolves and changes with time. I think my shoe style has definitely transformed the most. All of my pictures from high school included some form of Uggs (yes, I admittedly love Uggs; I just prefer to wear them on my comfy lazy days now). Last year was the first time that I really grew into wearing stylish boots as an actual fall/winter staple, and this year it's all about the booties. More often than ever, I find myself skipping over the taller boots for an ankle bootie. I wonder what's in store for my feet next year!

Riding Style

My Outfit:
Black Sweater: Forever 21
Jacket: Thrifted
Scarf: J Crew
Riding pants: Thrifted
Boots: Sister's

On Thanksgiving morning, my sister had an appendicitis  and ended up having her appendix removed. This means that she can't  do any physical activity for a month, including riding her horse (Mr. Awesome). I used to ride as a kid and therefore took over her lease for the time being... and I have to say I am so glad I did. I have a tendency to get very wrapped up in school and work and forget to take time to do the things I'm passionate about (note my lack in posts during finals prep..sorry!) but this gave me a chance to get back into my groove.

Orange Vest

My Outfit
Vest: Basic
Maxi Skirt (Styled as dress): Cotton On
Booties: Marshall's (another cure pair)
Michael Kors Necklace and Bracelet: TJ Maxx

I love to try new things, but sometimes when I suddenly change up my routine I get sooo confused. I have a serious shoe obsession, so I always build my outfit from the shoes up. But today, I really wanted to wear this vest I've had in my closet for over a year now, so I paired it with my black maxi skirt and then.....I got stuck. Evan and I must have gone through thirty pairs of shoes and nothing was working so I finally settled for my dusty grey booties, but they still didn't quite click with my outfit. I guess I'll have to work on styling from the outfit down.
